
MANILA, Philippines – One of the brightest young stars in Philippine boxing was knocked out by one of the toughest warriors in Mexico today.
Albert Pagara, 22, suffered an eighth round knockout at the hands of former title challenger Cesar Juarez at the San Mateo Event Center on Saturday, July 9. The end came at :15 of round 8 as Pagara was hit with a 3-punch combination before falling into his own corner. Pagara attempted to rise but fell back to his knees and was counted out.
