MANILA, Philippines – With Manny Pacquiao plagued once again by cramps in training camp, strength and conditioning trainer Justin Fortune found an alternative to reinforce the legs of the Filipino boxing icon as he prepares for his long-awaited bout against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2 (May 3 in PH).
In an Instagram post, the 36-year-old Pacquiao was seen running up and down the stairs of UCLA’s track and field with Fortune and his crew, executing sprints, hops, duck walks and alternate side-steps.
Freddie Roach, the longtime coach of Pacquiao, recently revealed that his valued student is dealing with muscle cramps, which is an issue that has popped up in his previous fights.
Roach and Pacquiao are exploring all possible avenues, including using an anti-inflammatory cream, which the USADA cleared for usage, on Pacquiao’s calves. – Rappler.com
