LAS VEGAS, United States – There is no room for mistakes if Manny Pacquiao hopes to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr at their megafight on Sunday, May 2.

Rapper 50 Cent, a good friend of the undefeated Mayweather said the fight will be “the best fight we’ve seen in years.”

He also told Rappler that he thinks Mayweather can “possible knock out” Pacquiao.

“I’m picking Floyd to win the fight, possibly by decision, possibly by knock out depends how the fight goes, but I’m thinking he’s gonna make him pay for his mistakes,” he told Rappler. 

“If he’s going to make mistakes like he made in the past, he’ll pay for them. If he (Pacquiao) comes with his A game, we’ll see the toughest fight we’ve seen in a long time. Manny Pacquiao has the ability to do it. We’ve seen Manny working on his lateral movement following his Marquez fight so you’re going to see the top fighters fight tomorrow night.”

The rapper also expressed awe at the turnout during the weigh-in on Friday, May 1, saying “this is a lot of excitement.”

As late as February, 50 Cent expressed doubt the fight would push through, telling Sports Illustrated that Mayweather is “scared to death” of facing Pacquiao. At that time, 50 Cent and Mayweather had a falling out.

When asked if Mayweather is scared of Pacquiao now, he said: “I think Floyd is conscious of Manny.”

50 Cent also said he is not sure Pacquiao can do anything to win the fight.

“I don’t know if he can win the fight based on what the person is saying at that point. It’s an opportunity to use his instincts. These guys are the top fighters, you can really find flaws in different performances but Manny is not going to find that tomorrow night I don’t think. I don’t think you’ll see the same things that you’ve seen,” he said.

“The intensity for both of them, neither one of them are exactly who you know them as right now.”

The mega fight between the two boxers took over 5 years to finalize and is set to be the most lucrative in boxing history, expected to make at least $400 million. It will also unofficially decide who the best pound for pound fighter is today.
