IN PHOTOS: LeBron James rocks MoA Arena

MANILA, Philippines – It was a chilling sight.

With flames bursting up into the air on stage, dancing flames in every screen inside the Mall of Asia Arena, and hiphop music on full blast as the dooraway slowly revealed him, LeBron James, considered the game’s best player today, put on an entrance fit for a King.

The 30-year old Cleveland Cavaliers forward ignited a fullhouse crowd with his presence on Thursday, August 20, for an exhibition game together with the kids of the Nike Rise program. (HIGHLIGHTS: LeBron James exhibition game in Manila)

The 4-time NBA MVP and two-time champion did not switch into his jersey until the final 5 minutes of the ballgame, but when he did, he dazzled with his every move.

James put on a dunk show for fans to remember and inspired the Filipino youth participants of the Nike Rise campaign, which aims to give kids a real chance at making their basketball dreams come true. Local basketball stars such as Kobe Paras, Thirdy Ravena, Jeff Chan and Chris Ellis were also part of the scrimmage.

James is on his second visit to Manila and, apart from Thursday’s scrimmage, has since held a press conference, visited a tenement in Taguig, and launched a new shoe at the Nike store in Bonifacio Global City as part of his activities for the global shoe brand.
