Revellers cruise past Titans for second PBA D-League win
MANILA, Philippines – The Che’Lu Revellers banked on a dominant 4th quarter to whip AMA Online Education Titans, 111-95, and improve to 2-1 in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup on Thursday, June 14, at the Ynares Sports Arena.
Chris Bitoon unloaded 23 points to go with 7 rebounds and 5 assists as the Revellers pulled away in the closing minutes with a 21-7 run.
Jessie Collado (19 points), Jayson Melano (18 points) and Jay-R Taganas (13 points,13 rebounds, 5 assists) also delivered for the Revellers.
Bitoon heated up early, scoring 8 points in a 10-2 run that put the Revellers up, 42-32.
The AMA Titans, though, caught up in the third after unleashing a13-0 run where Domark Matillano, Ken Soriano and Neil Nacpil knocked in triples that put them ahead, 68-66.
But the Titans’ defensive struggles turned apparent in the closing quarter, making it easier for the Revellers to zoom ahead.
Matillano had 24 points while Owen Graham posted a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Titans, who absorbed a 3rd straight loss.
