Los Angeles Lakers news website Lakers Nation reported that LA is finalizing a deal with the Bulls to send the Spanish big man to Chicago.

Yahoo!’s Adrian Wojnarowski earlier reported that Gasol has turned down a two-year deal worth over $10 million with the Lakers.

This was after Los Angeles had already re-signed scorer Nick Young and big man Jordan Hill. The Lakers also secured the services of point guard Jeremy Lin in a trade with the Houston Rockets.

Other US media reported earlier in free agency period that Gasol was waiting to see if the Lakers are able to sign marquee player Carmelo Anthony.
