MANILA, Philippines – The 2015 NBA Trade Deadline was arguably the craziest ever in league history.

Multiple players will switch uniforms following Friday’s (February 20) events, a number of which will affect the playoff race in both conferences.

Heat bolster roster with Dragic acquisition

The steal trade of the day comes courtesy of Pat Riley and the Miami Heat, who acquired All-NBA Third Team guard Goran Dragic from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Danny Granger, Shawne Williams, Norris Cole, Justin Hamilton, and two future first-round picks.

As part of the deal, Goran’s brother Zoran is also headed to South Beach. The Suns also traded Cole and Williams to New Orleans and in return obtained John Salmons.

Blazers strengthen core with Afflalo

The stream of deals commenced when it was announced the Portland Trail Blazers had acquired guard Arron Aflfalo from the Denver Nuggets.

Included in the deal are Thomas Robinson, Victor Claver, and Will Barton, all of whom are going to Denver; and Alonzo Gee, who’ll be shipped to Oregon along with Afflalo.

OKC, Detroit, Utah materialize three-team trade

After his relationship with teammates and management hit a low point, Thunder back up PG Reggie Jackson is going to have a new home after being dealt to the Detroit Pistons. His teammate Kendrick Perkins is also leaving OKC but his future remains blurry, as it’s expected that his new team, the Jazz, will buy him out.

The Cavs and Clippers are potential suitors for Perkins once waived.

OKC received Jazz center Enes Kanter, forward Steve Novak, and Pistons guard DJ Augustin and forward Kyle Singler in return.

Surprising trade between Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Phoenix takes place

In what was the most shocking deal of the day, the Bucks, 76ers, and Suns took part in a massive three-way deal with the Boston Celtics also included to a degree.

Milwaukee, the current no. 6 seed in the East, sent leading scorer Brandon Knight to the Suns, who sent Isaiah Thomas to the 76ers. Philly, meanwhile, dealt last year’s Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams to the Bucks, who also picked up Tyler Ennis and Miles Plumlee from Phoenix.

Subsequently, Thomas was traded to Boston for Marcus Thornton and a 2016 first-round pick that the Celtics originally attained from Cleveland.

Other deals saw the likes of Pablo Prigioni and KJ McDaniels going to Houston, while the Knicks picked up Alexey Shved.

Washington acquired Kings guard Ramon Sessions for Andre Miller, while the 76ers also attained JaVale McGee from Denver.

There have also been reports of Tayshaun Prince returning to Detroit on a deal centered on Jonas Jerebko.

Brooklyn tried constructing deals that would have sent their players like Jarrett Jack and Brook Lopez to other teams, but they could not come up with deals to finalize a transaction. They did however send Kevin Garnett back to Minnesota for Thad Young.
