Duke defeats Wisconsin to win 5th NCAA title

MANILA, Philippines – The Duke Blue Devils took the 2015 NCAA National Championship after defeating the Wisconsin Badgers, 68-63, on Tuesday, April 7.

This is the team’s fifth title under Mike “Coack K” Krzyzewski making him the Division 1 head coach with the second-most national titles next only to John Wooden who has 10, according to Sports Center.

Duke star Jahlil Okafor tallied only 10 points with 3 rebounds as he rode the bench for most of the second half due to foul trouble.

It was guards Tyus Jones and Grayson Allen who carried the fight for the Blue Devils in the second half.

Jones nailed a three-pointer to cap off a 10-0 run that gave Duke the lead for good at 66-58 with 1:24 left to play. He finished the game with 19 points and was named Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four. 

Allen ended the game with 16 points.
