WATCH: Golden State’s Klay Thompson struck by knee to the head
A scary scene unfolds as Klay Thompson is struck by a knee to the head from Houston Rockets player Trevor Ariza, causing him to bleed from his ear

MANILA, Philippines – Klay Thompson was on the receiving end of a scary knee-to-head collision during the fourth quarter of the Golden State Warriors’ Game 5 win over the Houston Rockets on Thursday, May 28.

After pump-faking Rockets swingman Trevor Ariza, Thompson’s head collided with the knee of the leaping Houston forward and was soon after brought to the locker room by team doctors of the Warriors.

Thompson returned to the game after he was ruled with a “right ear laceration.”

The good news for Golden State fans is that Thompson – one half of The Splash Brothers – did not receive a concussion and was just damaged by a cut.

The incident comes one game after the other Splash Brother Stephen Curry survived a scary fall after a block attempt against Ariza, falling awkwardly and landing on the back of his head.

There appeared to be no residual effects as Curry scored 26 points and earned a date with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.
