Kelly vs Kelly: Wizards-Celtics Game 3 turns into shoving contest

WASHINGTON, USA – Bad blood.

The price that the Washington Wizards had to pay to clinch their first win against the Boston Celtics, 116-89, in the NBA Eastern Conference second-round playoff series was gruesome as the entire match came with 8 technical fouls and 3 ejections.

With all the carnage, Game 3 looked more like an MMA bout starring Washington’s Kelly Oubre and Kelly Olynyk.

During the second quarter, Oubre received a hard screen from Celtics center Olynyk that knocked him down with Boston trailing, 45-24.

Oubre lost his temper and quickly rose to his feet to shove Olynyk to the ground. Referees and teammates charged to break up the conflict as the Wizards shooting guard still wanted to get his hands on the Celtics’ big man.

Olynyk received an offensive foul while Oubre was given a flagrant 2 foul and was thrown out of the game alongside a suspension for Game 4.

This is the latest run-in with officials for the small forward Oubre, who was also fined $25,000 after kicking the ball to the audience on April 19.

The physical series continues as the Wizards keep the flame alive in the series with a win-loss record of 2-1. -Rappler.com
