HIGHLIGHTS: Bucks vs Raptors – 2019 NBA Eastern Conference Finals
MANILA, Philippines – In one of the most highly-anticipated matchups of the NBA season, the Milwaukee Bucks are set to face the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference finals on Wednesday, May 15 (Thursday, May 16, Philippine time).
Both squads are coming off character-testing series in the East semis and have proven to be as skilled and talented as advertised.
Fresh off a heart-stopping buzzer-beater in Game 7 against the Philadelphia 76ers, first-year Raptor Kawhi Leonard has been on an absolute tear, averaging 31.8 points on a 54% shooting and 41% from three. His bloated scoring norms, however, don’t mean that it has been a one-man show up north.
Most Improved Player candidate Pascal Siakam and All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry have been great backups to their star forward. Meanwhile, veteran big men Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol have steadied the ship that has sunk too early in the playoffs too many times before.
As stacked as Toronto is right now, however, top-seeded Milwaukee boasts an even more loaded lineup for their title bid.
Already fielding top MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks also have reliable co-stars with defined roles like Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe and Brook Lopez. Along with high-quality role players such as Nikola Mirotic and Malcolm Brogdon, it's clear why the Bucks only took 5 games to dispatch the highly touted Boston Celtics.
While both teams are nearly identical in terms of talent and chemistry, one still has to come out on top first.
Will the Bucks' homecourt advantage play into The Greek Freak's favor or will it simply not matter for The Klaw?
