MANILA, Philippines – The Golden State Warriors have one foot in the NBA Finals door after turning back the Portland Trail Blazers with a 110-99 road win on Saturday, May 18 (Sunday, May 19, Manila time).
Golden State came back from 18 points down with a fiery second-half assault to bury Portland in a 3-0 hole in their best-of-seven Western Conference finals series.
Playing before a raucous Moda Center crowd, the Trail Blazers were comfortably ahead by 13 at halftime until second half came, where they were limited to just 33 points compared to the Warriors' 57.
Steph Curry chalked up 36 points off 6 triples, Draymond Green notched a triple-double of 20 points, 13 rebounds, 12 assists, and 4 steals, while Klay Thompson chipped in 19 points in the win.
CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard had 23 and 19 points, respectively, in the loss, but they combined for poor 12-of-38 shooting.
