Barako Bull tops Mahindra behind Garcia’s 26

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – RR Garcia exploded for 26 points and the Barako Bull Energy turned back the Mahindra Enforcers, 93-85, in the 2016 PBA Philippine Cup on Tuesday, November 17, at the Alonte Sports Center in Biñan, Laguna. 

The fourth year guard connected on 10 of his 14 field goals and buried the dagger 3-pointer with 1:20 remaining, 91-81, to shut down Mahindra’s last-ditch rally. The former UAAP MVP also added 3 rebounds and 3 assists in 27 minutes of play as the Energy won two straight games and moved to the middle of the standings with a 3-2 record.

JC Intal remains consistent in his performance so far this conference with 20 points including 3 triples and 6 rebounds. Willy Wilson added a double-double of 11 markers and 13 boards as he rested for only 6 minutes in the game.

Mark Yee led the Enforcers with going 6-of-12 from the field for 17 points, 20 rebounds, and two blocks off the bench.

Guard LA Revilla tallied 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists on top of a couple of highlight reel plays.

Mahindra, which yielded control of the game to Barako in the second half, fell to 1-4.
