Knee injury sidelines Joe Devance in Visayas leg of PBA All-Star Game 2018
Barangay Ginebra fans in Iloilo City won't be seeing the 11-year PBA veteran

MANILA, Philippines – After 4 straight All-Star appearances, Joe Devance will not see action in this year’s mid-season festivities.

The Barangay Ginebra forward announced through his Twitter account that he will not suit up for the Visayas All-Star team that will face the national team in Iloilo City on May 27 due to a knee injury.

“I want to apologize for me not being able to make this year’s Visayas All-Star event in Iloilo. I’m saddened that I wont be able to attend due to my injury to my knee,” wrote Devance.

Filling in for the 6-time All-Star’s spot is Columbian Dyip’s Ronald Tubid.

Tubid will join June Mar Fajardo, James Yap, Kiefer Ravena, Greg Slaughter, Terrence Romeo, JR Quinahan, Jeff Chan, Chris Ross, Emman Monfort, Asi Taulava and Jericho Cruz.

“These events are never promised and I’m honored I was a part of them throughout my 11-year career. The PBA and you guys have always showed me so much! I love you guys and I’ll try my best to make it up to you guys somehow!” Devance added.
