Done deal: Blackwater trades Paul Zamar to San Miguel
The 31-year-old reunites with father Boycie Zamar, who is a deputy for the Beermen

MANILA, Philippines – The rich only get richer.

San Miguel has added another vital cog to its star-studded lineup by acquiring Paul Zamar from Blackwater after trading its 2021 and 2022 second round picks.

The transaction was approved by the league’s trade committee on Wednesday, December 19 together with Terrence Romeo’s trade to San Miguel  from TNT.

Zamar will be a welcome addition for the Beermen after proving himself with the Elite as a reliable wing player and deadshot from long range.

The 31-year-old averaged 10.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists through 18 elimination round games for Blackwater, which signed him following his exploits with Mono Vampire in the ASEAN Basketball League.
