UFC’s second visit in the archipelago is set to take place at the 20,000-seater SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City and is the mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion’s lone Asian stop in 2016.
No bouts have been announced for UFC Fight Night Manila, but it is expected that the fight card will likely feature homegrown talent Roldan Sangcha-an, who was last seen in action when he yielded to Guam’s Jon delos Reyes via second-round submission.
Meanwhile, Filipino-American fighter John Dodson expressed his interest to be part of UFC Fight Night Manila 2.
Retired UFC veteran Mark Muñoz will be in attendance for UFC Fight Night Manila 2’s on-sale press conference on August 17 at Conrad Hotel in Pasay City.
Muñoz currently serves as the company’s "Philippine ambassador" and will be taking part in a number of press engagements to further promote the sport of MMA and UFC Fight Night Manila 2. – Rappler.com
