The world's best tennis players are expected to arrive in Manila in November as part of the first-ever International Premier Tennis League

MANILA, Philippines – The world’s best tennis players are expected to arrive in Manila in November as part of the first-ever International Premier Tennis League (IPTL).

According to a story on Inquirer, the first leg of the said tourney on November 28-30, which was supposed to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, has been moved to the Philippines due to politicial tension surrounding the former.

The IPTL will have four teams (Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, and Manila) which will all play at home.

Team Manila will be bannered by Britain’s Andy Murray, who was drafted by Team Bangkok last March. Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, and legends Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi are all expected to play on home soil, too.

The Mall of Asia Arena and Smart Araneta Coliseum are being eyed as possible venues for the international tilt.
