TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – The National Capital Region (NCR) remained undisputed as they were again awarded over-all champion in the early closure of the 2015 State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) National Olympics in Tuguegarao City.

Softball and Baseball gave NCR the best score with 9 gold medal counts each. But lost the Basketball (Men) bout against Central Luzon, 101-93.
Ranked second was Central Luzon with 50 gold medals, with 60 silvers and 66 bronzes.

Dr. Chita Ramos, Dean of the College of Human Kinetics in Cagayan State University and a member of the working committee of the SCUAA games and Chairman-in-charge of the tally, said the tally made a “significant” change early Friday as NCR won several championship games.
“The tally has been in a notable trend. We had Western Visayas at the front-line yesterday morning, then we had Central Luzon at about late afternoon. Now, in the final tally, NCR has made a good climb,” Ramos said.
Closing ceremonies
Cagayan State University (CSU) President Dr. Romeo Quilang said in his speech during the Closing Ceremonies in Cagayan Sports Complex today thanked the Provincial Government of Cagayan and the City Government for funding the hosting of the event.
He also thanked the officials of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) for the trust they have given to him.
PASUC is the organizer of SCUAA.
Dr. Herbert Reyes, PASUC Executive Director confirmed that no school made a bid yet as for next year’s hosting.
Reyes also thanked Quilang and the people of Cagayan for an ‘exemplary’ and ‘unforgettable’ hosting.
“All of the activities were carried out successful. There may have some minor glitches but it all really went well,” Reyes.
