According to SM Tickets’ website, the entire patron area is now closing its purchasing lines to the public as all P10,600-worth seats have been sold

MANILA, Philippines – After selling out the VIP section in just three days, patron tickets to the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s first live event in the country on May 16 at the 20,000-seater SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila are sold out as well.

Tickets to UFC’s maiden trip to the fight capital of the Southeast Asian region numbered as “Fight Night 66” went on sale last March 13, and it only took three days for Filipino mixed martial arts fans to occupy all P13,250-worth seats near the famed UFC Octagon.

According to SM Tickets’ website, the entire patron area is now closing its purchasing lines to the public as all P10,600-worth seats are likewise taken.

Meanwhile, sales for Lower Box B tickets are picking up as six parts of the aforementioned section are currently filled by UFC’s paying customers, while the other seven can still be availed for the price of P5,830.

Charged at P7,950, the Lower Box A area is the next best vicinity to see the action up-close inside the Henry Sy-owned state-of-the-art venue as it still offers 19 of its 22 subdivisions.

Seats from Upper Box (P3,710) to General Admission (P1,590) sections are expected to gain more attention in the coming days.

UFC Fight Night 66 is headlined by a featherweight super-fight between Urijah Faber and Frankie Edgar.

Five Filipino fighters have been booked by the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization to compete on the same fight card.

Mark Eddiva battles Alex White in a featherweight match-up, while his teammate Roldan Sangcha-an aims to claim his first UFC triumph as he squares off with Guamanian flyweight Jon delos Reyes.

Meanwhile, Fil-Am standouts Phillipe Nover and Nolan Ticman are also slated to have their respective homecoming fights.

Mark Muñoz was also added to UFC Fight Night 66 and stressed that he is ready to hang up his gloves for good regardless of the outcome of his bout against English middleweight Luke Barnatt. – Rappler.com
