F2 Logistics secures third seed in PSL Grand Prix

GENERAL TRIAS, Philippines (UPDATED) – F2 Logistics Cargo Movers officially claimed the third seed of the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix with a 25-13, 25-21, 25-11 win over RC Cola Army on Tuesday, November 22, at the General Trias Sports Center. 

Hayley Spelman led the way for the Cargo Movers with 14 attacks, one block, and 3 aces.

While it was Spelman who carried the Cargo Movers throughout the match, there were many notable contributions from different parts of the court. Sydney Kemper pitched in 10 points, while local players Ara Galang and Mika Reyes put up 8 and 6 markers respectively.

F2 Logistics carried momentum from the first set as their complete team effort rewarded them with a straight-sets victory.

Reception was also an issue for RC Cola during the match, as the Cargo Movers managed to gain easy points through 17 service aces.

Ramil de Jesus’ squad will next face sixth seed Cignal for the playoff round on Saturday, November 26.

The veteran Army team, which earlier succumbed to a 5-set loss against Foton, failed to take one from the Cargo Movers. They settled for fourth place with a win-loss record of 3-6.

Jovelyn Gonzaga put up 6 points on the board for RC Cola, which will face the fifth seed Generika in the next round. – Rappler.com
