PSL: F2 Logistics bags bronze in Grand Prix

MANILA, Philippines – The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers survived a rally down the stretch as they rout the RC Cola Army Lady Troopers, 25-13, 25-20, 20-25, 20-25,18-16 to officially clinch third place in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix on Thursday, November 8 at the Filoil Flying V Arena.

Hayley Spelman finished with 26 points, while Aby Marano and Ara Galang dropped 14 and 12 respectively for the bronze medalists.

The Cargo Movers capitalized on Army’s poor reception in the first two outings, as they gained nine easy points through aces.

The Lady Troopers, however, refused to go down quietly as they got momentum going late in the third after a series of miscommunication from the F2 side.

Skipper Jovelyn Gonzaga and the rest of Army managed to push the match to a deciding set, but eventually dropped a close one to the Cargo Movers.

Import Kierra Holst put up a team-high 21 markers for the Lady Troopers.

The two squads both suffered 5-set losses in the semifinals, failing to steal a championship round spot from league leaders Foton and Petron.
