Alyssa Valdez set to join Chinese Taipei club team
The volleyball phenom confirms that she received a deal to play for Chinese-Taipei club

MANILA, Philippines- Former Ateneo De Manila University star and national team standout Alyssa Valdez is headed to the international stage once again as she was tapped to play for Attack Line, a club team in Chinese Taipei.

In a Twitter clip posted by fellow Lady Eagle Gretchen Ho on Monday, September 11, Valdez confirmed that she received a deal to play for the international club team when she crossed paths with Chinese Taipei officials in the Philippines’ hosting of the Asian Seniors Women’s Volleyball Championship last month.

“First time ko rin sa Chinese Taipei so nae-excite ako, not only para sa volleyball [pero] para ma-explore ko rin kung ano ‘yung makikita nating culture and traditions sa Chinese Taipei,” shared Valdez of her future stint up north, which is reported to run from October to December.

(It would be my first time in Chinese Taipei so I’m excited; not only for volleyball, but also so I could explore the culture and traditions in Chinese Taipei.)

The former UAAP MVP had her first international club stint earlier in the year when she played for 3BB Nakornnont in Thailand.-Rappler.com
