Thai ace Kuttika Kaewpin and skipper Alyssa Valdez lead the Cool Smashers' fiery win

MANILA, Philippines – Creamline  bounced back from a road-game defeat with a convincing 25-18, 25-23, 25-19 triumph over erstwhile unbeaten PayMaya in the Premier Volleyball League  Reinforced Conference on Sunday, May 13, at the People’s gym in Tuguegarao.

The victory gave the Cool Smashers a share of the lead and tied their victims at 2-1.

Thai ace Kuttika Kaewpin fired 17 hits to lead the Cool Smashers, who bowed to BanKo Perlas in 5 sets, 25-22, 16-25, 23-25, 25-17, 11-15, on Saturday.

Skipper Alyssa Valdez backed her up with 12 points as the Cool Smashers dominated the High Flyers from start to finish to wrap up the 78-minute romp at the close of the PVL first provincial weekend.

Tess Rountree matched Kaewpin’s output but the power-hitting reinforcement failed to draw support from the locals with Aiko Urdas scoring 8 points and Jasmine Nabor chipping in 6 points.

PayMaya’s other import, Shelby Sullivan, groped for form and wound up with just 5 hits after an 8-hit output against Pocari. – Rappler.com
