Former UP Fighting Maroon and national youth team center Kevin Astorga was among the 5 arrested in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday morning, September 22, in Parañaque City.

Anti-drug operatives arrested Astorga during his 34th birthday party and seized 150 grams of kush or high-grade marijuana, which was valued at P168,000.

Various sachets with undetermined amount of a substance suspected to be cocaine and other drug paraphernalia were recovered from the scene.

The other 4 apprehended were Agustin Deulexandre Montejo, Jericho Tumagan, Karen Salvahan, and Miguel Mojares.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-RO-NCR Southern District Office, together with the Philippine National Police, managed to dismantle the drug den located at the JEMP Building, BF Homes.

Astorga played for the Fighting Maroons in 2008 and 2009 under head coach Aboy Castro. He was part of the national youth team that won a title in the 2004 SEABA U-18 Championship held in Lucena, Quezon. – Rappler.com
