MANILA, Philippines – Christmas wouldn’t be complete in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) without tables, ladders, chairs… plus for this year, steel stairs.

After the success of NXT Takeover: R Evolution last Thursday, WWE superstars are expected to bring their A-game or even upstage the stellar performances of the NXT rookies.

What do Ryan Songalia and Michael Bueza think will happen at the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view on Sunday (Monday morning, Philippine time)? Read on, fellas!

Tables Match: John Cena vs Seth Rollins

Going through a table is not an option for John Cena, as his #1 contender’s spot for the WWE World Heavyweight Title is at stake in a Tables Match against “Mr. Money in the Bank” Seth Rollins.

• What if Cena wins?

Ryan: This has to happen. Seth Rollins’ Money in the Bank briefcase has meant NOTHING while the champion has been off TV, hiding out in the woods hunting animals. It may seem predictable to have Cena win this match, but it’s the logical choice for booking.

Michael: Bring Brock Lesnar back on pay-per-view, then let’s talk. I completely expect Cena winning here, but his #1 contendership – even Rollins’ Money in the Bank briefcase – means nothing when the Champ is not here.

• What if Rollins wins?

Michael: Cena will set his sights next on winning the Royal Rumble Match, perhaps? For me, the Tables Match at TLC is just a “placeholder” of a main event. That’s what WWE gets when they make a part-time Superstar their World Champ.

Ryan: Hmm, here’s an interesting possibility – What if Seth Rollins wins the number one contendership somehow, loses his WWE World Title match, attacks Lesnar afterwards, and then cashes in his Money in the Bank privilege? Ahh, I see what you did there…

Predictions: Both Ryan and Michael pick John Cena to win

Also at WWE TLC, Dolph Ziggler looks to win back the Intercontinental Title from Luke Harper in a Ladder Match. Meanwhile, Kane and Ryback won’t sit around in their Chairs Match face-off.

Take all three foreign objects together, and you get a high-octane TLC Match between Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose. And of course, there’s the Steel Stairs Match for the two behemoths, Erick Rowan and The Big Show.

Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match: Dean Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt

Ryan: Dean Ambrose needs to lose here, because Wyatt needs to look strong to make the rivalry relevant. I’m glad they’ve finally started making sense of it (as much sense as feuding over a rocking chair can make) and made it more emotional. Wyatt is going over, but not before some kind of swerve to progress this feud. Wyatt and NXT’s The Ascension tag team, anyone?

Michael: One way or another, Bray Wyatt would win here to set up a rubber match. Their feud has been crazy awesome so far, and it would only get crazier at the PPV.

Intercontinental Championship: Ladder Match
Luke Harper (c) vs Dolph Ziggler

Michael: A win for Ziggler would be a nice follow-up to his Survivor Series performance last month, where he was the sole survivor in Team Cena vs Team Authority. Let this run be “it” for Ziggler, WWE!

Ryan: I would love to see Ziggler win here, because he has become the company’s top non-Cena face (which makes him the top babyface for the smart marks). I would love to see his momentum continue.

Chairs Match: Ryback vs Kane

Ryan: A chairs match in the PG era can be quite predictable. The WWE Universe know you can’t hit anyone on the head with a chair, so expect lots of bruised biceps. Also, as a piece of advice to Kane, protect your ribs.

Michael: Kane will be fed to Ryback in this one. But steel chairs are boring. Use the announcers’ chairs instead! Does that count? Haha.

WWE Tag Team Championship
The Miz and Damien Sandow (c) vs Jimmy and Jey Uso

Michael: Keep the Mizdow show going! Whoever wins here, Viktor and Konnor of The Ascension tag team are waiting for them anyway.

Ryan: The big question here is, how will they advance the Mizdow storyline? They’re building to a big split which will put Sandow over the top. I hope somehow Mizdow can win here and split those seams ever so slightly.

Steel Stairs Match: Erick Rowan vs The Big Show

Ryan: What do you do with stairs? I hope one of these big guys does a Hardy Boyz Poetry in Motion spot off the stairs. I just see so many ways this match can flop. Erick Rowan should win this one. He’s on the verge of becoming an unlikely crowd favorite.

Michael: An unusual, amusing match type, but it fits the two big men well. In as much I like how Big Show betrayed Team Cena at Survivor Series, I’ll go with Erick Rowan sealing the deal here. I bet his IQ score of 143 would help him.

United States Championship
Rusev (c) vs Jack Swagger

Michael: Rehashed! Rusev!

Ryan: Rusev all the way. Time to put the rocket booster on this guy. He’s heading for big things.

Divas Championship
Nikki Bella (c) vs AJ Lee

Michael: Oh, whatever happened to the Bella Twins feud? They should’ve ran with it better than Brie suddenly supporting her sister again at Survivor Series without explanation. Anyways, I guess Brie would cost Nikki the bout this time, to bring the Divas Title back to AJ Lee.

Ryan: This should be a wrestler’s wrestling match between two very talented workers. Barring an awkward Jerry Lawler hug spot, AJ should win the title back. – Rappler.com
