Oftana, Tungcab to see action in second duel vs Thailand

Calvin Oftana and Jaydee Tungcab will finally get to show off their wares in Gilas Pilipinas' second clash against Thailand in the second window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers on Monday, November 30.

Oftana and Tungcab, who did not make the cut in the Philippines' 93-61 drubbing of Thailand in their first meeting, will replace Mike Nieto and Will Navarro in the final lineup.

Rounding up the squad are Dwight Ramos, Kobe Paras, Juan Gomez de Liaño, Justine Baltazar, Rey Suerte, Javi Gomez de Liaño, Isaac Go, Matt Nieto, Kemark Cariño, and Dave Ildefonso.

Gilas Pilipinas special draftee Allyn Bulanadi, who suffered a dislocated right shoulder prior to the second window, will sit out.

The Philippines, coached by Jong Uichico, shoots for its third win in as many games and eyes to take the top spot in Group A, while Thailand looks to secure its first victory after a 0-2 start. – Rappler.com
