MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines beat Vietnam, 9-6, in the men’s 9-ball pool doubles championship match to win the country another gold medal in the 28th Southeast Asian Games on Sunday, June 7, at the OCBC Arena in Singapore.

The combination of Carlo Biado and Warren Kiamco beat Vietnam’s Do Hoang Quan and Nguyen Anh Tuan.

Biado is also going to compete in the men's 9-ball pool singles beginning Monday, June 8.

It was the fifth gold medal attained by the Philippines, which also has 6 silvers and 11 bronzes for seventh overall in the international tournament’s medal tally.

Host nation Singapore, who has 21 golds, 16 silvers, and 30 bronzes, still lead the rest of the pack.
