PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia (UPDATED) – Kim Mangrobang and Claire Adorna pulled off another one-two finish for the Philippines, this time in women's triathlon during the 2017 Southeast Asian Games on Monday, August 21, at the Water Sports Complex in Putrajaya.

Mangrobang improved from her silver medal finish two years ago in Singapore with a gold medal this year, while Adorna copped the silver after winning gold in 2015.

Mangrobang finished with a time of 2:11:14, while Adorna clocked in at 2:18:58. The bronze went to Malaysia's Irene Chong, who finished the course in 2:25:44.

With their victories, the Philippines now has 11 medals. Earlier, teammates Nikko Huelgas and John Chicano won gold and silver medals as well in men's triathlon. – with reports from Adrian Portugal / Rappler.com
