Benedict 'Bennyqt' Gonzales delivers another stellar performance as Aura PH ends Nexplay Esports' three-series winning streak

Aura PH sent Nexplay Esports crashing back to earth with a superb sweep in Season 7 of the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) on Sunday, May 2.

Gold laner Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales delivered another stellar performance to help Aura PH end Nexplay Esports’ three-series winning streak, 2-0, and seize the lead in Group A.

Bennyqt recorded 9 kills and 9 assists against 2 deaths on Kagura in the second game as he pulled off several nifty plays that put Nexplay in precarious situations.

The Aura PH star had two double kills in less than two minutes late in the game, the last of which set up the win-clinching wipeout of Nexplay for the swift 15-minute finish.

Jaypee “Jaypee” dela Cruz backstopped Bennyqt with 3 kills and 16 assists against 3 deaths on Mathilda, while Christian “Rafflesia” Fajura put up 4 kills and 8 assists against 2 deaths on Benedetta.

Jaymark “Lord Hadess” Lazaro made his presence felt for Aura PH with 4 kills and 7 assists against 1 death on Yi Sun-Shin.

Aura PH improved to 19 points for the top spot in Group A, slightly ahead of Work Auster Force, which raised its tally to 18 points following its 2-1 victory over slumping Execration.

Execration won the opening game of the best-of-three series and looked on its way to snapping its three-series skid only to witness Work Auster Force nail the last two matches.

In the final series of Week 5, Omega Esports bounced back from its loss to Nexplay the day prior with a 2-0 win over Onic PH.
