Blacklist International stretched its unbeaten streak in the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) after taking down Omega Esports on Thursday, April 22.
Danerie James “Wise” del Rosario tallied one of the highest kill-death-assist (KDA) ratios in MPL PH history as Blacklist nailed a 2-1 win in the best-of-seven affair for a 6-0 start in Season 7.
A feeding Diggie strategy backfired on Omega in Game 3, with Wise (Granger) recording a whopping 29 kills and 5 assists against 1 death in the match that took only 10 minutes for Blacklist to finish.
Teams usually employ the feeding Diggie tactic to delay their opponents’ jungling capability and growth of gold net worth.
But the exact opposite happened as Blacklist dispatched Omega with over a 9,000-gold advantage.
Jayson “Eson” Gerardo (Rafaela) chalked up 2 kills and 25 assists against 3 deaths for Blacklist in Game 3, while Edward “Edward” Dapadap (Thamuz) had 7 kills and 5 assists against 1 death.
Meanwhile, defending champion Bren Esports notched its third straight series win after sweeping Work Auster Force, 2-0.
Starting the season with 3 straight series losses, Bren Esports flaunted its scary form with Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno at the forefront of its attack.
KarlTzy churned out a 2/0/6 KDA on Yi Sun-Shin in Game 1 and a 6/1/2 KDA on Lancelot in Game 2.
In the first matchup of the day, Aura PH kept Cignal Ultra without a series win following a 2-0 victory. – Rappler.com
