Bren Esports got its title-retention bid back on track in Season 7 of the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines with a sweep of Laus Playbook Esports on Sunday, April 25.

Its three-series winning streak snapped by Onic PH the day prior, Bren Esports redeemed itself following a methodical demolition of LPE, 2-0, in their best-of-three affair.

CJ “Ribo” Ribo recorded 3 kills and 3 assists against 0 deaths on Alice for Bren Esports in the series opener, which saw his side dispatch LPE with a massive 20,000-gold advantage.

While LPE kept the kill tally close, 9-10, Bren Esports seized control of the map with its superior net worth and surrendered only one of its turrets in the 20-minute finish.

LPE dragged its foes to a longer match in the second game, but Bren Esports showed its mettle against the league newcomers en route to the sweep.

Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel led Bren Esports in Game 2 with 7 kills and 11 assists against 3 deaths on Yve, while David Charles “FlapTzy” Canon had 7 kills and 8 assists against 2 deaths on Paquito.

Earlier in the day, Blacklist International kept its unbeaten streak alive with a 2-0 win over struggling Cignal Ultra.

Undefeated in 7 series, Blacklist remained at the top of Group B with 18 points ahead of Omega Esports (14 points) and Nexplay Esports (10 points).

Meanwhile, Omega sent Group A leader Work Auster Force crashing back to earth with a 2-0 victory.

Despite the loss, Work stayed at the top of Group A with 16 points, with Aura PH (14 points) and Bren Esports (12 points) trailing.
