Bren Esports beats Nexplay EVOS in the same come-from-behind fashion to win back-to-back series for the first time in MPL Philippines Season 8

Bren Esports seemed to have snapped out of its funk in Season 8 of the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines after reasserting its mastery over Nexplay EVOS on Friday, September 24.

Stunning Nexplay with a 2-1 comeback win last September 19, Bren triumphed in the same fashion by winning the last two games of their best-of-three duel as it won back-to-back series for the first time this season.

Karl “KarlTzy” Nepocumeno (Nathan) shone in the deciding match after putting up 5 kills and 5 assists against 1 death, showing the way for Bren in the swift 15-minute victory.

Flawless throughout Game 3, KarlTzy suffered his only death after being shut down by Nexplay star John Paul “H2wo” Salonga in the final clash.

That hardly mattered, though, as Bren ended the game seconds later to deal Nexplay its second straight series loss.

Bren remained at seventh place with 9 points, while Nexplay stayed at fifth place with 11 points.

Earlier, Onic Philippines got back on the right track with a 2-1 win over Omega Philippines in a series that lasted for four hours as a bug issue delayed the do-or-die match.

Onic trailed early in Game 3 but managed to turn the tides en route to the 21-minute victory that solidified its hold of second place with 19 points.

Meanwhile, Omega hiked its tally to 10 points, good for sixth place. – Rappler.com
