MANILA, Philippines - Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson, Utah Jazz guard Trey Burke and retired National Basketball Association champion Horace Grant will visit the Philippines from May 22-24, the league announced on Wednesday, May 20.
Clarkson, a Filipino-American player named to the All-Rookie team after logging 11.9 and 3.6 assists per game, will join Burke for viewing parties of games two and three of the Western Conference finals between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets on May 22 and 24 at NBA Cafe Manila at SM Aura in Bonifacio Global City.

“As a proud Fil-Am, I am really looking forward to my upcoming visit to the Philippines,” Clarkson, a native of San Antonio, Tex., said in a press release. “The Pinoy fans have been very supportive of me all year long, and I can’t wait to thank them in person.”
Grant, who was an All-Star in 1994 and won three championships with the Chicago Bulls and one with the Lakers, will attend the game 3 viewing.

All three will take part in an NBA Cares basketball clinic, teaching 60 underprivileged youth from Project Pearls the fundamentals. An appearance at the NBA Store at Glorietta Mall in Makati City is also scheduled for May 23.
In addition to the players, the Oklahoma City Thunder Girls dance team and Charlotte Hornets mascot Hugo the Hornet will make the trip to the Philippines.
