Lonzo Ball shares his excitement to meet his Filipino fans and says he'll pay a visit next summer

MANILA, Philippines – Big Baller Brand, the lifestyle brand launched by basketball superdad LaVar Ball, unveiled its first Twitter account aimed towards the Filipino community, @FollowTheBalls, as part of its global expansion.

The announcement on Tuesday, September 5 (Wednesday Manila time) included a message from Los Angeles Lakers top draft pick Lonzo Ball, who shared his excitement to meet his Filipino fans and that he plans to visit the Philippines next summer.

“People have been telling me that the Philippines love the Lakers, so we made a Big Baller Brand fan club called Follow The Balls for the Filipino community, the post quotes of Lonzo Ball.

“I am really excited to travel to the Philippines next summer and can’t wait to meet y’all as I travel through the states this season!”

@FollowTheBalls made its Twitter debut on Saturday, September 2 with its first tweet.

Big Baller Brand designs, manufactures and sells sports apparel and lifestyle products that are inspired the Ball brothers, Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo. The company was launched in 2016 by their father LaVar Ball, who has made headlines recently with his prediction that “Lonzo Ball will lead the Lakers to the playoffs this coming NBA season” and proclamations that he’d have beaten Michael Jordan in a 1-on-1 game.

In May 2017, BBB announced the release of their first shoe, the ZO2, which will be launched on November 2017. Retailing at base price of $495, the company received criticism from NBA fans, but it was further heightened with LaVar Ball’s response on Twitter.
