Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors rally past the No. 1 Bucks to reach their first NBA finals

 

 

LOS ANGELES, USA – Kawhi Leonard finished with 27 points and a career-high 17 rebounds as the Toronto Raptors advanced to their first NBA finals with a 100-94 win over the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks. (READ: Raptors rally past Bucks, book first ever NBA Finals trip)

The Raptors, who wrapped up the Eastern Conference series at 4-2, reached their first finals in their 24-year history where they will face the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors.

Game 1 of the best-of-seven title series is set Thursday, May 30, in Toronto (Friday, May 31, Philippine time).

The victory has galvanized the Canadian city’s sports fans and touched off a wild celebration among the crowd of 19,800 in the arena and tens of thousands more in the downtown “Jurassic Park,” who watched the game on a giant screen.
