Warriors star Steph Curry establishes a new NBA record for most three-pointers made in a month, eclipsing the previous mark set by James Harden

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry has further cemented his status as one of the best – if not the greatest – shooter in NBA history.

Curry broke the NBA record for most three-pointers made in a month after waxing hot for 37 points built on 7 triples in the Warriors’ 117-113 escape win over the Sacramento Kings.

The two-time NBA MVP upped his April tally to 85 three-pointers, eclipsing the previous mark of 82 triples set by James Harden in November 2019 during his time with the Houston Rockets.

It has been a sensational month for Curry, who now leads the NBA in scoring with an average of 31.3 points.

During the month of April, Curry hit at least 10 three-pointers in a game 4 times and scored at least 40 points in a game 5 times, including a month-high 53 points against the Denver Nuggets.

He is norming an astounding 38.3 points in April on an impressive 53% shooting from the field and 47% clip from three-point range.

With Curry playing out of his mind, the Warriors have remained in contention for a spot in the play-in tournament.

Golden State currently sits at 10th place in the Western Conference with 31-30 record after winning 8 of its 14 games in April so far.

The 7th to 10th placers from both the Eastern and Western Conferences will compete in the play-in tournament, with two teams in each conference advancing to the playoffs.

Curry can still pad his three-point record as the Warriors still have two games left in April: against the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves. – Rappler.com
