Vanessa Bryant, the widow of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, commemorated the 15th birth anniversary of their late daughter Gianna with her own clothing line called Mambacita.

Gianna, who died along with Kobe and 7 others in a helicopter crash in January 2020, would have turned 15 last May 1.

Gianna earned the “Mambacita” moniker, a play on Kobe’s “Black Mamba” alias throughout his storied NBA stint, as she also pursued a basketball career like her father.

Vanessa said the clothing line is a combination of the “bright and fun personality” Gianna exhibited and her “sense of purpose and passion.”

“Gianna was kind, energetic, a leader, and had so much Mambacita swag,” Vanessa wrote on Instagram.

The entire proceeds of the Mambacita collection will support the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, which is geared to help underserved athletes and young women in sports.

“Gigi was especially motivated to change the way everyone viewed women in sports and it is fitting that this capsule represents her values,” said Vanessa.

Several NBA teams and players supported the cause.

Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving and Phoenix Suns ace Devin Booker bought their respective teams the Mambacita sweat set.

Players from the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors also wore the Mambacita tie-dyed hoodie and sweatpants in their games.
