Steph Curry left the court just minutes before the Golden State Warriors’ game on Saturday, February 20 (Sunday, February 21, Philippine time) due to an undisclosed illness.
The Warriors pulled out Curry just moments before tip-off of the Warriors’ match versus the Charlotte Hornets, noting that the former MVP is “not feeling well.”
The Athletic’s Anthony Slater reported that the illness isn’t related to COVID-19 or the NBA’s health and safety protocols relating to the pandemic.
“The league didn’t pull him off the floor, as they did with Kevin Durant recently,” said The Athletic, noting it may just be a “one-game absence.”
Curry averages 29.9 points for the Warriors this season.
Two weeks ago, the league removed Brooklyn Nets star Durant from the game during the second half due to COVID-19 protocols. (READ: Kevin Durant saga takes center stage as Raptors down Nets)
