LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers look to deliver the killer blow on the Denver Nuggets in Game 5 of the NBA Western Conference finals on Saturday, September 26 (Sunday, September 27, Manila time).
Sitting comfortably on a 3-1 cushion in the best-of-seven series, the Lakers are in prime position to reach the NBA Finals as they bank on the momentum they built following their Game 4 win.
The Lakers moved a win away from their first NBA Finals in a decade thanks to James, whose clutch defense on Jamal Murray in Game 4 took the fight out of the Nuggets.
Murray, who had hoped to rally the Nuggets to a 2-2 series tie, failed to score a field goal in the last 6 minutes of Game 4 with James hounding him on defense. (READ: LeBron defense in full display as Lakers near NBA Finals)
But the Nuggets are no strangers to being down 1-3 as they seem to thrive when the odds are stacked against them.
In fact, the Nuggets became the first team in NBA history to overcome a 1-3 deficit twice in the same playoffs when they survived the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Clippers earlier in the postseason.
Can the Nuggets stage another comeback?
Game time is 9 am.
