MANILA, Philippines – Rey Nambatac dropped 40 points and grabbed 10 boards in the best individual performance of a player this NCAA season as the Letran Knights defeated the San Sebastian Stags, 90-77, on Tuesday at the San Juan Arena.
Nambatac was one of 4 players to score in double figures for Letran, with Mcjour Luib, Jerrick Balanza, and John Calvo adding 12, 11, and 10 points, respectively.
San Sebastian was led by the 23 points of Regile Ilagan.
Nambatac, who became the first player to breach 40 points this season, was the first Letran standout to score at least 40 since Kevin Alas scored 43 4 years ago.
The Knights, who are the defending champions of the league, improved to a 4-1 record. – Rappler.com
