Indonesian organization EVOS Esports joins forces with Nexplay Esports ahead of the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines Season 8

EVOS Esports returns to the country after two years as it links up with Nexplay Esports ahead of the eighth season of the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines (MPL PH).

Nexplay announced the partnership on Saturday, June 19, while also revealing that its “Big Three” of John Paul “H2wo” Salonga, Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, and Renejay “Renejay” Bacarse will remain intact.

Yawi has been rumored to be on his way out of Nexplay – which got eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in the last two MPL PH Seasons – but he eventually decided to stay with the team.

Based in Indonesia, EVOS first joined MPL PH in Season 3 but left following an early playoff exit in Season 4.

The remnants of that EVOS Philippines crew, including Kristoffer “Bon Chan” Ricaplaza and Dexter “Dex Star” Alaba, are now with reigning MPL PH champion Blacklist International.

Bon Chan has shifted to coaching, while Dex Star serves as the sixth man of Blacklist International.

Expectations are high for Nexplay EVOS, with the Indonesian organization boasting of several local champions across the Southeast Asia region under its umbrella.

EVOS Legends won the seventh season of MPL Indonesia, while EVOS SG ruled the inaugural season of MPL Singapore.

Coached by John Michael “Zico” Dizon, Nexplay EVOS will reveal its complete roster in the coming weeks. – Rappler.com
