MANILA, Philippines — Barangay Ginebra San Miguel ended an 8-year title drought in the most vindicating way possible: a big championship-clinching deep 3-pointer at the final buzzer. (WATCH: Justin Brownlee hits 3-pointer to clinch championship for Ginebra)

Just Brownlee delivered just that and shoved the Gin Kings past the Meralco Bolts in Game 6, 91-88, and into the franchise’s 9th PBA title.

Brownlee’s triple ended a grueling series, whose every game was decided down to the last few possessions. (READ: ‘Living Legend’ Jaworski comes out to support Ginbera in Game 6)

Ginebra succeeded in following up on its 2008 Fiesta Conference championship and gave two-time Grand Slam coach Tim Cone is 19th championship overall.
