MANILA, Philippines – To end or to extend?
Magnolia seeks to close out the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup finals while San Miguel aims to force a winner-take-all match as they battle in the crucial Game 6 at the Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, May 12.
Momentum is on the side of the Hotshots now after grinding out an 88-86 win in Game 5 to gain a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven affair.
Magnolia has not won an All-Filipino title since its Grand Slam season in 2014, and now is the best time to end that drought.
The Beermen, meanwhile, are determined to keep their historic bid alive as the only team to win 5 straight Philippine Cup championships.
San Miguel has always managed to tie the series – winning Games 2 and 4 – and if the trend continues, it is groomed to push the finals to the distance.
Expect a tighter security at the venue, though, after a man dressed as Spider-Man managed to enter the court. (READ: ‘Spider-Man’ who disrupted PBA finals brought to jail)
