PBA ‘Spider-Man’ could spend a week in jail
Police say Paolo Felizarta, who stormed the court dressed as Spider-Man during the PBA finals, could only post bail Friday the earliest

MANILA, Philippines – The man dressed in Spider-Man costume might have chosen the worst time to make a scene in a PBA game.

Paolo Felizarta could spend a week in jail with the PBA set to take legal action against him after he stormed the court of the Araneta Coliseum late in Game 5 of the 2019 Philippine Cup finals on Friday, May 10.

He accidentally hurt San Miguel star center June Mar Fajardo while running before he was apprehended by security personnel at the venue.

According to Police Staff Sergeant Oliver Bocade, the case investigator, the 31-year-old may face charges of unjust vexation and alarm and scandal.

Although both are minor offenses, Felizarta picked the wrong time for his stunt since offices are closed on weekends and Monday, May 13, has been declared a non-working holiday due to the midterm elections.

Bocade said it takes a standard 3 days to raffle a case, meaning Felizarta could only post bail Friday the earliest.

Recovered from the Imus, City resident were several placards encouraging people to “vote wisely this May 13” and to “vote from the heart.”

Felizarta is currently detained at Station 7 of the Quezon City Police District.

He was visited by his younger brother and cousin, who revealed they are mulling to file a case against San Miguel guard Ronald Tubid for punching Felizarta. – Rappler.com
