MANILA, Philippines - Late-game hustle play by Sean Anthony and Asi Taulava enabled the NLEX Road Warriors to hold off Barako Bull Energy Cola, 93-85, at Smart-Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, October 28.
NLEX struggled early against Barako, trailing by as much as 13 before a second half surge led by the tough defense of the Road Warriors. Anthony scored 11 points and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds, while Taulava scored 14 and grabbed 11 boards. Three other Road Warriors scored in double figures as well.
JC Intal and Willie Wilson each scored a game high 16 points in defeat for Barako.
NLEX now joins Rain or Shine at 2-0 in the Philippine Cup while Barako starts off the season 0-1. – Rappler.com
