The Ginebra-Meralco tussle in the Philippine Cup is the second game to be rescheduled since the PBA restart

The PBA has postponed the Philippine Cup game between defending champion Barangay Ginebra and Meralco on Sunday, September 5, due to health and safety protocols.

Set at 4:35 pm on Sunday, the game will be staged at a later date following league guidelines.

The Ginebra-Meralco tussle is the second game to be rescheduled due to health and safety protocols since the PBA restart after the match between San Miguel and Alaska on Saturday, September 4, got pushed back.

Ginebra sits at seventh place with a 2-3 record, while Meralco resides at third place with a 5-2 card.

The 2 pm clash between Terrafirma (2-4) and Blackwater (0-6) will push through as scheduled, while the 7 pm duel between TNT (5-0) and Magnolia (5-1) has been moved to the 4:35 pm time slot.

Before the league restart kicked off last Wednesday, the NorthPort Batang Pier have also been left out of the week’s schedule due to health protocols. – Rappler.com
