Alvin Pasaol and Leonard ‘Santi’ Santillan effectively made themselves available for the coming PBA Draft after submitting their applications on Friday, January 8.
Pasaol is a 6-foot-4 forward from the University of the East who at one time scored 49 points in the UAAP back in 2017. He suited up for Petron-Letran and Marinerong Pilipino in the PBA D-League before joining the 3×3 circuit where he’s ranked No. 2 nationally.
Santillan, meanwhile, is a hardworking forward from the University of Visayas and La Salle. He also played from Marinerong Pilipino in the PBA D-League and ranked 6th in the country in the 3×3 circuit.
Also joining the March 14 draft are Frank Johnson, Tyrus Hill and Troy Rike.
Johnson, a shifty 6-foot-2 slasher, played for AMA, Marinerong Pilipino and Gamboa Coffee Mix in the PBA D-League, while Hill is a 6-foot 5 forward who saw action for Adamson and La Salle.
Rike is 6-foot-8 former Gilas cadet from Wake Forrest who had a short stint with National University before joining the 3×3 circuit.
So far, 27 aspirants have signified their intention for this year’s talent-rich Draft.
The PBA Commissioner’s Office has set a January 27 deadline for the submission of application and requirements for both Fil-foreign and local players. – Rappler.com
