MANILA, Philippines – Scoring proved to be not a problem for Joseph Eriobu and Almond Vosotros as they topped the department through the first three legs of the PBA 3×3 tournament.

Eriobu led the league in scoring in the first leg with 56 points to power the Purefoods TJ Titans to a third-place finish and replicated the feat in the third leg with 46 points, although his side fell short of a podium spot at fourth place.

Meanwhile, Vosotros landed at fourth in scoring with 42 points when he keyed the TNT Tropang Giga to the first leg championship before he raised his game in the second leg, churning out a league-best 57 points.

TNT, however, settled for third place in the second leg.

Other players who figured prominently in the scoring list included Tonino Gonzaga of the Meralco Bolts and Chris de Chavez of Platinum Karaoke.

Gonzaga placed third in the first leg with 42 points as Meralco finished runner-up and ranked second in the second leg with 50 points as he propelled the Bolts to the title.

De Chavez edged Gonzaga for second place in the first leg with 45 points and occupied seventh in the second leg with 37 points en route to leading Platinum to a runner-up finish.

It has been an unpredictable tournament so far in the PBA 3×3 as different teams won the championships in the first three legs.

TNT and Meralco may have dominated the first two legs, but both suffered early exits in the third leg, with the Tropang Giga failing to reach the knockout round and the Bolts crashing out of the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, the Sista Super Sealers snagged the third leg crown despite going winless in the first leg.
