Ginebra rookie Arvin Tolentino shares his early PBA journey in the latest episode of At the Buzzer podcast hosted by Naveen Ganglani.

The former Ateneo Blue Eagle and FEU Tamaraw revisits the controversies from his college days and opens up about how he wants to change his reputation.

Tolentino also shares what he learned from living with former PBA player and now brother-in-law Doug Kramer during the coronavirus lockdown, and how that helped his smoother transition to the pro level, which included a practice session against Justin Brownlee. 

Now playing in the PBA bubble, Tolentino also discusses what he learned from his teammates, how having assistant coaches Olsen Racela and Kirk Collier have been an asset, and what life’s been like for Ginebra players in this unique season.

Naveen: So did you know before the draft that you were going to go to Ginebra, because of coach Olsen, or was it a surprise when you were called by Ginebra?

Arvin: Honestly, wala akong ine-expect nung draft. Nagdadasal lang ako na ma-draft ako, yun lang. Kahit anong team, kahit sinong coach, sana ma-draft lang ako and I’ll do my best. [Tapos,] ewan ko, parang nung, honestly, nung narining ko boses ni coach (Olsen) nung na-draft ako, nung nasa loob na, parang familiar yung boses, so parang na-isip ko na, “Ah, feeling ko, pangalan ko na yung matatawag dito eh.”
