MANILA Philippines - TNT KaTropa's Troy Rosario faces a dilemma this weekend as two important events are slated to take place on the same day: Game 6 of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals and his wedding to fiancée Michelle Aguas.
Rosario and his partner are scheduled to tie the knot at 3 pm on Saturday, February 18 in Quezon City, according to a report on Interaksyon - just two hours before the anticipated Game 6 against the San Miguel Beermen at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Rosario's manager Danny Espiritu told Rappler via text message "baka no show na" (He might not show up) when asked if Rosario planned to play in Game 6.
A Facebook message to the former NU standout turned Gilas pool member about his plans was not answered by the time of this story's publication. Text messages to TNT coaches were also not answered at the moment.
The KaTropa pulled away with a 101-94 win on Thursday to put the defending champs on the verge of elimination. Rosario came off the bench in the win, scoring two points.
As of press time, the team has yet to announce whether Rosario will play for the all-important Game 6 on Saturday. If so, here's hoping for TNT's sake that traffic isn't too hectic in Metro Manila. In the mean time, here are photos from the Mr and Mrs Rosario-to-be's prenuptial photo shoot. – with reports from Ryan Songalia and Alyssa Rola/Rappler
